Built for typing. Indifferent to the hours when typing isn't the bottleneck.
A roomfor the longthread.
CodeNocturne is a native macOS workspace where your coding agent and a quiet ambient layer share one window. Not a tool that helps you start the task — a place that helps you stay with it.

Most tools help you write code.
None of them help you stay with it.
Writing the line is rarely the hard part. Holding the thread for two more hours is. CodeNocturne is built around a single unbroken session — one agent thread, one ambient layer, one window worth keeping open.
Built to start the task. Done as soon as the diff lands.
Built around the audio. Don't know what's happening in your editor.
Built around the session itself. Workspace, agent, ambience — one room, one mood.
A cabin,
not a toolbar.
Designed around the parts of coding that aren't about typing.
Coding Workspace
A native macOS surface for working with an agent. Plan, approve, inspect — every tool call visible, nothing happens behind your back.
Ambient Layer
Sound shaped around the session you're in. Drawn from libraries you already own. Pin a mood, skip a track, let the room read the work.
One Long Session
Persistent thread, change tracking, calm chrome. No tabs to lose, no chat windows piling up. One window worth keeping open until the work is done.
Plan, run, and review
in a calm desktop window.
A native macOS surface for working with an agent: task framing, inspectable tool calls, per-tool approvals, and a status line that tells you what's actually happening — without yanking you out of the work.
- Brings your own Claude credentials — never relayed, never re-billed
- Workspace change tracking with file fingerprinting
- Per-tool approvals with trust-for-session
- Sign in with Apple — no separate account to manage
- Tauri 2 · native shell · ~20MB install · battery-friendly
Sound that supports attention
— not a player that demands it.
The ambient layer shapes sound around what you're doing: deep focus, debugging, exploration, the late-night review. It pulls from your existing libraries, picks a scene that fits the session, and stays out of the way.
- Native MusicKit on macOS · Apple Music catalog & smart stations
- NetEase Cloud Music · mood-aware radio shaped to your session
- Manual mood pinning — always one tap away from where you want to be
- No additional music subscription required from us
Four small steps.
No theatre.
Just the conditions for deep work, arranged in the order they actually happen.
- 01
Frame the session
Tell CodeNocturne what you're working on — a feature, a fix, a refactor that's been sitting for weeks.
- 02
The agent reads the room
It scans the task and the surrounding code before touching anything. Every write, every shell call waits for your approval.
- 03
The room settles in
The ambient layer picks a scene that fits the kind of work — pin a mood or switch providers at any time.
- 04
Stay until it's done
Fewer context breaks. One long thread of work in view. You leave when the work is done, not when an ad does.
Built on tools
you already trust.
Native where it matters. No proprietary lock-in for music or identity. No middleware between you and your AI bill.
Claude Agent SDK

Still on the fence? These are the things people ask the most before the trial.
Do I need a Claude subscription to use this?
Yes. CodeNocturne uses your existing Claude Code credentials — Claude Pro, Claude Max, or an Anthropic API key. We don't bundle or resell AI. This keeps the price honest and keeps you in direct control of your AI usage.
What's actually in the Free tier?
The complete coding workspace — agent sessions, tool approvals, change tracking — plus three ambient scenes, one workspace, one device. The agent is never paywalled. Pro adds the full ambient library, multiple workspaces, multi-device sync, custom agent presets, and premium themes.
Where does the music come from?
Native MusicKit on macOS for Apple Music, plus NetEase Cloud Music. We use catalogs you already have access to. No additional music subscription required from us.
What does 'Early Adopter — Locked Forever' actually mean?
The first 1,000 Pro subscribers get the early price ($4.99/month or $39.99/year) locked permanently — as long as the subscription stays active. Even when standard pricing rises later, you keep the early rate forever. No annual re-negotiation, no quiet hikes.
Is this another Electron app?
No. CodeNocturne is built on Tauri 2 — native macOS shell, native WebView, native MusicKit, native Sign in with Apple. Around 20MB installed, lower memory than Electron equivalents, longer laptop battery.
Does my code leave my machine?
Only the prompts and tool approvals you choose to send to Claude. Your code, file contents, and workspace state stay local. Sign in with Apple — no separate account, no inbox spam, no third-party identity provider.
The next late-night session
is already underway.
BYO Claude credentials required for agent features. 14 days of Pro included.
